Behavior

Our school is committed to providing a Christian environment where all students can learn.  Your child’s classroom will have expectations and goals created by the students during the first week of school.  All of these will incorporate three central expectations:

1.             Always respect God, others, and yourself.
2.            Always be honest.
3.            Always try your hardest in all that you do.

Your child will be held responsible for his or her behavior.  I use the Love and Logic way of disciplining, so in many cases, the natural consequence will take place.  I am trying to insure your child that he or she is responsible for his or her actions, and make good, Christ-like decisions.

Under my discretion, the classroom Safe Place may also be used.  This is a seat where a child can go to pull him or her self together if a problem or disagreement has occurred.  This may also be the space where a child is sent if he or she is keeping others from learning in the classroom.  If this is the case, he or she will fill out a Think Sheet.  This will always need to be signed and returned.

I will also send notes home to let you know of any problems or exceptional behaviors that are happening in the classroom.
