Memory Work for the Year! (2023-24)

MEMORY WORK

4TH GRADE MEMORY WORK–2023-2024

Students will have memory work two times a week--every Tuesday and Friday morning.  We will always say the memory work together in class as well.  Memory work consists of Bible verses, prayers, hymns, commandments, and items from Luther’s Small Catechism.   This is part of your child’s overall Religion grade.  Memory for the year is below!  Our first verses are our theme for the school year:  “Connected.”

8/29-“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” ~John 15: 1-2

9/1- ”Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” ~John 15: 3-4

9/5- “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” ~John 15: 5
