Vocabulary (Challenge Words)

  

  The children will be learning a new vocabulary word each week.  This word will be the challenge word on spelling tests.  These will be words that we do not frequently hear.  At times, they will connect with an area of study or a Bible story.  The student will need to be able to spell the word, pronounce it, and put it in a sentence.  On Spelling tests, your child can earn extra credit with a correct spelling and sentence. At the end of the quarter, we have a spell-off, where we review all the vocabulary words learned over the quarter, and see who can remember them!  You will be impressed with some of the words your child will know and learn!
