Grading

        Nearly all assignments are graded.  If an assignment comes home without a grade on it, you will know that this sheet was just for practice and a written grade did not get recorded.  Your child’s assignments will always have a star or a comment on it so you know I looked at it.  The grading scale is as follows:  

A-90-100%

B-80-89%

C-70-79%

D-60-69%

F-59% and below

        I offer extra credit in nearly all subject areas if needed.  Please consult me if this need arises.  I am also a flexible grader.  If I notice that a student has struggled in a particular area, I may give him or her another chance to better his or her grade.  I fully believe in mastering a skill before moving on.
