Third and Fourth Grade News
From the Week of December 19, 2014

Dear Parents,
We have had  such a fun week!  Bowling…Christmas Caroling…Polar Express Party!  We have had such a great time!  Thank you all for your help this week…and your sweet gifts!  Merry Christmas to you and your families!  I am blessed to work alongside you!  J

Here are a few reminders:

Sunday, December 21 - Timothy Lutheran Church is putting on a Christmas musical at 6:30 p.m. Kids need to wear their Sunday best, and come to the music room at 5:15.  You will be able to pick up your child there after the performance as well.  Thank you!

December 24th-Christmas Eve
Your child is invited to participate in the Children's Worship service on Christmas Eve at the South Campus at 4:00pm.  Historically, there has been a Saturday morning rehearsal, but we have decided to forgo that this year out of respect for your busy holiday schedules.  Instead, you may bring your child to the gym at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve for a brief run through before the service starts. The students have been working very hard with Mrs. Mundt and Mrs. Patterson to prepare!  After the rehearsal, supervision will be provided for your child(ren) in the Music Room.

Children from all grade levels are invited to participate.  Students in grades 3-8 are invited to read a short Bible passage.  Please feel free to contact Aimee Gorrow, TLD Children’s Choir Director,  if that is something your child would be interested in.  aimee.gorrow@lsr7.net  ,

Book Reports:  4th grade--Their next book report will be over an historical fiction novel.  This will be due at the end of January, and they will need to dress as a character from their story when they present it!  Third graders have until the end of the quarter to complete their book reports, which are also historical fiction.  They are due January 9th.  (Christmas break will be a great time to work on these!)
Please remind your child to keep filling in Reading Logs for December.  I will collect these after break.
