Happy National Lutheran Schools' Week!!!

Hi, Parents!  This has been such a crazy, fun week!  THANK YOU for having fun with us!  National Lutheran Schools week is such a wonderful time to count our blessings!  We are so very blessed to have this amazing school, awesome kids, supportive parents, and be able to talk about our Lord and Savior EVERY DAY, All the time!  God is so good!  Thank you for your support, and outpour of love…
Here is a quick outline:
Monday- We all dressed as a fan of something…. We met in the gym and played games with our chapel families.
Tuesday- We dressed as a book character.  We shared books with our chapel families in the gym, and comfy blankets!
Wednesday- This was Chapel Family Pick Day.  This was so creative!  We painted prayer rocks with our families.  These are beautiful and will come home soon!
Today-We dressed in class colors and met in the gym for a colorful snack and to take a “rainbow” picture with the whole school.  We made valentine cards for shut-ins here at Timothy.  I am very proud of how our children were so very excited for this activity.  They were so eager to witness and share God’s love!
*Tomorrow is our last school day of LSW, also known as Grandparent’s Day!  Students can bring special guests for fun activities, our talent show, and more.  We will dismiss at 12:30 (unless your child is leaving with his or her special guest for lunch).  If your child is staying for lunch, they need to bring a sack lunch.

*I will post pictures on our blog very soon!  We have some crazy ones from this week!

*Our students (3-8) are singing in church on Sunday at our south site (10:00).  Please have your child in the gym with Mrs. Pennington by 9:50.

*Wednesday, February 1st, is Morning with Mom!  Similar to our Donuts with Dad day, students can bring a special guest, eat breakfast at school, and do a fun activity with mom (or someone else near and dear to your child).  Doors open at 7:45.

*Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year will be starting in February!  You will receive your enrollment information the first week of February.  If you know of any friends looking for a new school home, be sure to mention us!

*Achievement tests are coming up!  These will be February 21st-24th.  The testing will be in the mornings from 8:30-12:00 every day.  The home school students are invited to do this as well.  If you are interested, please let me know and Mr. K will order your supplies.  Thank you!

*Our 5th/6th grade tournament is coming up!  We will need a lot of helpers…. We are definitely a team here at Timothy, and I so appreciate your willingness and enthusiasm to help and support our school and ministry. (Check out the sign-up to see how you can help.)  We will begin games on Thursday night (2/2), have games on Friday night (2/3), all day Saturday (2/4), and conclude our championship games after church on Sunday (2/5), in plenty of time to get home and enjoy the Super Bowl!  THANK YOU for all of your help!  Here is the Sign-Up:

•We will also have a hospitality room (in the conference room) for coaches, principals, referees, and athletic directors from each school, just to thank them for offering their time and to give them someplace to visit with others.  This will include lunch/dinner foods, snacks, drinks, etc.  We have boasted that we have the best tournament hospitality room in the league,  and it would be fun to keep that going!  If you are able, please sign-up to send something in for them.  Thank you so much for your help!  Here is the Sign-Up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4dadab2da7f58-hospitality
