Have a blessed weekend, resting in the knowledge that JESUS loves YOU!

Hello, 4th grade family!  THANK YOU for your prayers this week.  I am sure the kiddos shared that they were praying for my family, and I appreciate that we have this sweet, loving, prayerful relationship so very much.  Dad is home from the hospital and will be getting a plan next week concerning his cancer treatment.  My stepson, Konrad, had a successful brain surgery, and is now in recovery-mode.  Thank you for your sweet notes of encouragement and prayer.  It is such a blessing to serve here!

Here is what we have been up to in the classroom:
RELIGION- We learned the parables of “The Pharisee and the Tax Collector” as well as “The Banquet and the Wedding Feast.”  We discussed how through His Word, God seeks all those who are lost.  He calls us to Himself and promises to prepare a heavenly home for all who believe in Him.  We are encouraged to call on Him with humility and grace.  We know that our forgiveness and salvation are based solely on what Christ Jesus has done for us!  AMEN!
MEMORY-
2/24-For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~John 3:16
2/27-This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. ~ Psalm 118:24

LANGUAGE ARTS- We read the entertaining and true story, “The Screech Owl Who Loved Television,”  and had a wonderful discussion about the captivity of animals and what kinds of habitats animals need in order to thrive.  This week, we focused on suffixes, finding the main idea, and facts/opinions. Book reports are due next week!

SCIENCE- We conducted a STEM experiment where we were challenged to design a tool that will disperse seeds at least 1 meter, using only wind.  We gathered supplies here at school and will be gathering these materials this weekend at home to create and try out our designs.  We also did some fun measuring this afternoon.
Special Classes:
