Happy Weekend! :)

Hello, Parents!  It has been such a fun and crazy week!  I loved meeting with each of you at conferences.  Thank you for taking the time to do that!  It has been such an honor to teach your child and to work hand-in-hand with all of you.  We are all so blessed!

Today, we had our Fall Harvest Party at Karen and Ron Davies’ home.  I am so thankful to them for hosting and providing the pumpkins, hayride, and fun equipment.  It was a beautiful day outside, and we had fun on the zip line, in the tree house, riding the four-wheeler, jumping on the trampoline, visiting the old schoolhouse, and playing on the playground.  Thanks to the parents that helped out too.  It was a super-fun day!

Other fun events:

*The first weekend of November is special because our older girls’ volleyball team has qualified for State!!  If you’re free, come out to Concordia, MO and support our Rams.  Once I have a schedule, I will share it!

*We have a very special morning coming up - Donuts with Dad!  The morning of Wednesday, November 7, come to school between 7:45-8:20 for breakfast with a special guest!  (Bring dad, grandpa, or the guest of your choice!)  In addition to donuts, coffee, and milk, teachers will have an activity for students to complete with their special guests.  This is not a mandatory event for your child to attend, but it’s awfully fun to make memories together and start our Wednesday off on a fun note!  We hope to see you there!  (Guests are also more than welcome to stay for chapel at 9:00!)

*Friday, November 9, is also a very important day.  We will be holding a Veterans Day Celebration here at the school that morning, beginning at 9 a.m.  If you want to invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, other family, and of course, any veterans you know and love, we’d love to have you here!!  Students will be singing songs and participating in this program to honor our nation’s veterans.

*TLS AUCTION – TIMOPOLY  is quickly approaching!!  Set your calendars for Saturday, November 10 and join us for some fun!  There are many ways to support Timothy Lutheran School’s auction.  This is our largest fundraiser of the year and provides vital funding for our school.  Check out our website for detailed information, to make a donation, or to purchase tickets head to  www.timothylutheranschool.com.

Our second quarter mission project was announced this past Wednesday at chapel.  We will be collecting items for Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, a nonprofit Christian relief organization.  They distribute shoe box gifts to children in need around the world.  Each child also receives printed gospel materials in their own language.  Please talk with your child about this opportunity, working together to choose appropriate gifts.  We hope to fill over 200 shoe box gifts this year!
