We're Back! :)

Dear Parents,
Happy 2019!  It was wonderful to see your kiddos again!  I have missed them so very much!  Although short, we were busy this week!  In our journals, we wrote about to things we want to achieve this calendar year.  I am always floored by the thoughtfulness of these kiddos!  Be sure to ask yours what he or she shared!  In Religion, we learned about David and Saul.  We also talked about being citizens of the Kingdom of God…and our rights and privileges of being in His kingdom here on earth.  We worked on group projects in class!  In Social Studies/Reading, we learned about Snowflake Bentley, and his discoveries with snowflakes.  In Art, we drew snowflakes and painted them using a watercolor/salt technique.  In Math, we are learning how to multiply with 2-digit numbers.

*Lutheran Schools Week is approaching!  We will have a Talent Show on Friday of that week!  Would your child like to do something for that?  If so, talent show try-outs are just around the corner - Wednesday, January 16th, after school, from 3:45-5:00.  We will have 4/5/6 BB players go first.  Please look for the form in your child’s Friday Folder.

*During LSW, the students will also be singing both the Sunday before the week of festivities, as well as the Sunday after it (January 27 and February 3).  Each day of the week (January 28-February 1), we have special dress days and activities planned, so look for that information to come out SOON!  Grandparents Day/Talent Show Day is the last day of Lutheran Schools Week - Friday, February 1.  We will have a 12:30 dismissal that day.

*Spelling words for next week, Friday, January 11th:
