Talent Show?

Hi, parents!  I hope this note finds you well!  National Lutheran Schools’ Week (January 24th-January 31st) is coming up and we are planning a lot of fun events!  In the past, on Friday of that week, we have had a Talent Show that we have performed for grandparents.  Since we are not having grandparents join us this year, we are questioning if we want to do the Talent Show for just the school children on that Friday.  We would not be able to have any outside visitors with us, unfortunately.  Would you please ask your child if he or she would want to participate?  If we have enough interest, we will go ahead and plan for one.  If not, we will save our talent until next year, when (hopefully!) things are back to some sort of normal!

 Here are the guidelines:

-Each child may participate in one independent act or one act with friends.

-We are asking that the performance be no longer than 2-3 minutes.

-These can be a song, a dance, a musical instrument, or anything else that may be a talent!  ;)  We are just asking for no lip-syncing, please.

-Each act will be on the stage in the gymnasium.

If we have enough interest, we will have a short try-out after school one day soon.  This will only be to make sure that the act is school-appropriate and so we can plan for music, props, etc.  In the past, all children have made it into the show.  ;)  So, no worries!

Please email me (Mrs. Brunkhorst) if your child is interested at kimb@timothylutheran.com.

Thank you so much!

Kim Brunkhorst
