Thank you!

Hello!  THANK YOU for all of your hard work this week.  I know this has been tough, and I appreciate all of your efforts in this transition.

First of all, packets with next weeks printed work are ready to pick up right inside the front doors of our school building.  They are labeled and on a cart there.  I have also attached a PDF of each sheet to the assignments on Google Classroom, if you choose not to swing by and get a packet.  Either will work!  The building is open today until 5:00. There will be someone here every day next week as well.

I have had many questions about turning work in, and I am truly fine with whichever is easiest for you and your family.  You can send me a picture of finished work, you can upload that picture/scan to Google Classroom, or your child can wait until the 15th to hand them in.

We will be rescheduling student-led conferences.  We do not have those dates yet, but when we do, I will transfer the date on Sign-Up Genius.  If you have already chosen your date and time, and the Thursday or Friday that you have chosen does not work for you, you will be able to go back in and change that.  We had already begun working on these presentations in the classroom, and the students are excited to share their work and personal grade cards with you!

We are going to extend the 3rd quarter mission project with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  As of Tuesday, our class had raised $137.40!

We will have our Valentine’s Party on February 15th.  This will be at 2:00 in the classroom.  Homeschool friends are invited!  Please send your child’s valentines.  This may be something fun to work on/create while at home.  J

Memory will be suspended until we return.  I have updated a few things…

2/16-The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

2/19-was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven

and sits at the right hand of God

the Father Almighty.

2/23-From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy Christian Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting. Amen.

Spelling words for next Friday, February 12th: (both 3rd/4th grades)

gain, cream, sweet, safe, past, reach, kept, gray, field, break, east, shape, steep, pray, pain, glass, west, sheep, steak, chief

Challenge Word:  courageous

Thank you for those that have responded to the parent survey.  I would like to set up two Zoom conferences next week, one on Tuesday at 2:00,  and the other on Thursday at 5:00.  These seem to be the days and times that work with everyone that responded.  This will just be a social Zoom to see everyone, so please have your child come to one, both, or none!  ;)  Homeschool friends are invited too!  I sent the invites to you via email.

If your child would like to FaceTime with just me, I will have slots available to sign-up on  the Google Classroom site.  Thank you!  As always, if they are struggling, they can reach out to me.  They can reach out with a private message on the lesson pages on the Google Classroom.  I can then set up a call if a written message does not help.  Thank you!
