school picnic OUTSIDE with FOOD TRUCKS from 4:30-6:00 p.m.!
*YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE!

Here is what we have learned this week:
Religion- This week, we focused on the Fruits of the
Spirit, and thought about what fruits we possess and how to make those
grow. We also focused on some of the
apostles and what they did after Jesus ascended—namely Peter and Paul. We are finished with memory work for the year!
Language Arts-This week, all the students chose their
last reading stories and tested over these on Thursday. We focused on finishing up our biographies,
creating our Biography Rugs, and finishing up our animal research. Biography Rugs are due Monday, May 10th. Some students will be bringing them home to
add finishing touches.
Math-Both grades are working with fractions! Third graders tested over equivalent fractions
and will begin a bit of measuring next week.
Fourth graders test over putting fractions in simplest form and finding
equivalent fractions. They will have a
little bit of adding and subtracting fractions next week to finish up the
year. Next week, we will have our end of
the year multiplication test to see who knows those facts!!!
Science-We will work with the lithosphere (dirt) and
with the biosphere next week! Time to
get dirty!
Specials-
Art-We finished up our Night Gardens. They are gorgeous!
Writing/Computer Lab-Those animal research reports
are coming together!
P.E.-We played tunnel tag and had outside play in
this beautiful weather.
Music-We were able to watch a recording of our
musical. :)
Next week: We
will focus on Religion, Science, and our very own competitions in a 3rd/4th
grade edition of Tim-Olympics 2021! (Spelling Bee, Dodgeball tournament, Tangram
races, tower building, etc.) YAY! On Thursday, we will watch the movie “Holes,”
celebrate our summer birthdays, and have some fun competitions! On Friday, we will have our closing Chapel,
have our classroom auction, say our sweet goodbyes, and have a 1:00 dismissal. God bless!
