Have a BLESSED EASTER!

Hello, parents!  We had a fun, and short week!  Thank you for all of the volunteering that you did this week!  We are blessed by YOU.  :)

*Next week is EASTER BREAK. We will have no school April 6 – 10. Morning care, classes, and aftercare will resume April 11.

*We have a WONDERFUL time at School of Economics, and we learned a TON!  Thank you to our volunteers!  (I know you were tuckered by days-end!)  All businesses paid off their loans and made a bit of a profit.  Mrs. Otte and I were very proud teachers.  We had great teamwork, Christian attitudes, and hard-working students.  It was a great day!

* Please remember to send water bottles with your students!  Thank you!

Here is what we have been up to in this short week:

RELIGION- This has been such a beautiful week for us, as we have learned about the events of Holy Week.  We discussed Palm Sunday, Jesus in the temple, Maundy Thursday, the Lord’s Supper, the Garden Gethsemane, Peter Denying Jesus, and Jesus’ Crucifixion.  We read straight from God’s Word and also watched some wonderful reenacting of these verses.  The students colored a Holy Week timeline, which we will finish up on Tuesday.  Today, we discussed Good Friday, and while the conversations we had were emotional, we know that Jesus did not stay dead for us!  He has risen indeed!  Alleluia!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” ~1 Peter 1:3

The kiddos asked that I share these videos with you:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.

4/14-He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
