*Our BOOK FAIR is coming up, and we would love your help! 📚✨The Book Fair is always such a special experience for our students, but it truly can’t happen without volunteers. Helping at the Book Fair is easy, flexible, and a fun way to support our school—whether you can give 30 minutes or a longer shift. Volunteers help students find books, manage checkouts, and keep everything running smoothly. No experience is needed! We’ll show you exactly what to do!
Your time directly supports our students and helps encourage a love of reading throughout our school. Even one shift makes a big difference, and it’s a great way to be present and involved during the school day.
Thank you for considering helping and for all the ways you support our school community. We are so grateful for you! ❤️
Please take a moment to sign up below if you’re able to help.
Also, teachers have set up a Book Fair eWallet so we can shop at the Fair and buy new books to add to our classroom library. Would you consider making a contribution to help stock our classroom shelves? If you'd like to contribute, please visit:

- Each class will have glass canning jars to gather change in our classrooms for money to be donated for food items!
- We will have a surprise prize when all of the items have been collected and counted! Yay! Go, Rams!

*4th Graders finished our project that will be auctioned off too! It is a mosaic that focuses on the Bible verse Romans 6:23. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." We have entitled our art, "Eternal Life."
Here is what we have been up to in the classroom:
RELIGION-We discussed how Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. Our loving Father has invited us to pray to Him and empowers us to come humbly to Him! We have talked about the petitions of the Lord's Prayer and what they mean.
MEMORY-
1/27- For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the wicked foe may have no power over me. Amen.
2/3- Say the entire Evening Prayer.
LANGUAGE ARTS-book reports
SPELLING WORDS for Friday, January 29th:
Story: "Riding in the Cars,” an excerpt from By the Shores of Silver Lake:
steel, steal, led, lead, wait, weight, wear, ware, creak, creek, beet, beat, meet, meat, peek, peak, deer, dear, ring, wring
Challenge Word: conductor
MATH- We have begun Chapter 9, where we have been learning how to add fractions with like denominators. We have also finished practicing our 0-12 multiplication mad minutes and have begun mixing math multiplication equations. I have urged the kiddos to practice those flash cards, if they have realized that they do not have all of their facts memorized.
SCIENCE- We have finally gotten back into our Science books! This week, we learned about the different parts of the flower and even dissected some flowers, to find the pistel, stamen, anther, petals, and the pollen. We talked about pollination and how it happens, and how God's perfect design helps all of these flowers reproduce and attract pollinators. Our God is an AMAZING God!
Today, we explored some fruit to measure them, to find the seeds, and compare and contrast them to one another.
Special Classes:
MUSIC- We practiced our songs for the Talent Show and for Sunday! ("Children of the Heavenly Father" and "Shalom.")
SPANISH- Students played Spanish Jeopardy and worked with conjunctions.
ART- We worked on simple cartoon drawing this week, with step-by-step guides on how to draw.
WRITERS' WORKSHOP- We began the planning and drafting processes of persuasive essays this week.
COMPUTER LAB-We published our essays and persuasive reports.
God's Blessings on your weekend! Stay safe and warm!
