Cross-Country Meets Open to 1st-3rd Graders!



      Hello, Parents!


This year, our track team will be participating in two cross-country meets, and we would like to extend an invitation to the first-third graders as well! There are two meets. Both meets will have a boys and girls younger age division that will be running a ¾ mile route. If you think your child would be interested, I have posted information for both meets below. Please just let us know that they are planning on attending. I will need to get the information about our runners to the separate schools. Thank you so much!

The first cross-country meet is Tuesday, April 30th, at 5:00, at Bethlehem Lutheran in Raymore, MO. This will be run on their campus at 310 Johnston Parkway, Raymore, MO 64083-9278. The races will begin promptly at 5:00. (The rain date is May 2nd).

Directions from school:

Route 7 to

West 50 Highway to

MO-291 South (stay on here for about 7 miles)

Turn right on East State Route 58 (MO-58)

Left on Johnston Parkway

Look for 310 Johnston Parkway

(About 40 minutes travel time)

With this meet, there will be four divisions: Grade 6-8 Boys; Grade 6-8 Girls; Gr. 5 and under Boys: and Gr. 5 and under Girls. Athletes in Grade 6-8 will run a distance of approximately 1 1/2 miles. Athletes in Grade 5 and under will run a distance of approximately 3/4 mile.

Our second cross-country meet is Tuesday, May 7th, at 5:00 at Bethany Lutheran’s site in Stilwell, KS. This is not their school location. Their address is 20200 Mission Road, Stilwell, KS. (1/4 mile south of 199th Street and Mission Road).

Directions from School:

Turn right onto MO-7 Hwy.

Turn right onto NE Colbern Rd.

Turn left onto NE Douglas St.

Turn right and take ramp onto I-470 W toward Wichita.

Take the I-435 W/US-50 W/Wichita exit onto I-435 W.

Take exit #79/Metcalf Ave.

Turn left onto Metcalf Ave.

Continue on Blue Valley Pky.

Continue on US-69 S.

Take the 199Th Street exit.

Turn left onto W 199th St.

Turn right onto Mission Rd.

Your destination on Mission Rd is on the right.

The trip takes 38.4 mi/61.7 km and 50 mins.
