Dear Parents,
I hope you all had a blessed and
relaxing Easter! We have had a great
week here at school!
·
Our
Harvester’s field trip was wonderful! Thank you so much to all our parent
drivers and volunteers. Despite starting our time there with a tornado
drill, (hopefully you heard about the excitement!) we made a great impact for
others.
·
Our
new mission project is going so well! We have already raised $701.53 toward our $800 goal. Whoopee! Thank you so much for your generosity and
support. This is amazing!
Today, the Chapel
family that had the most money received yummy ice cream at lunch!

Please
mark our graduation date (5/17) on your calendars. We would love for all
students and families to be able to attend, as each grade will be involved in
the program! We are so proud of all of our graduates!!!
Here’s what we have been up to:
In Religion , we discussed the job of our
pastors and all that they do for us and our church, schools, and
congregations. We learned that the word “pastor”
means “shepherd.” -- a person who loves and cares for his
sheep. We have also been learning the
words to “ I am Jesus Little Lamb.” What a beautiful song! Next week, we will talk about liturgical
music and the church year.
Memory for next
week:
April
14-Who so happy as I am,
Even now
the Shepherd's lamb?
And when
my short life is ended,
By His
angel host attended,
He shall
fold me to His breast,
There
within His arms to rest.
April 17-If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John

Language Arts: 3rd and 4th graders read the stories, “Dog
of the Sea Waves,” and “ Owen and Mzee,” respectively. Both stories were awesome examples of
animals! All students have been working
on taking notes on their biography book report project. They will read
the book at home, or during free time here at school, take notes on their own,
and do the report at home, but the project will be completed here school.
The only the supplies we need from you are large brown paper bags. If you
are able to send one or more in, please do so! Thank you so much! We will work on these during class next
week. J
