Dear Parents,
Hello! I hope this
note finds you all well! Today is the
end of the second quarter – can you believe it?! With our snow day yesterday, I am lengthening
the time to get assignments in, so some of your kiddos may have some homework
over the weekend. These just need to be
completed by Tuesday. Report cards will
come home on Friday of next week.
Here are some upcoming events:
*There are basketball games at Bethany Lutheran (Overland
Park, KS) tonight beginning at 6:00.

these forms as soon as possible. You can
email Mrs. Brunkhorst with any questions.

19. More info will come home later.

Reading/Social Studies- We read “My Brother Martin,”
a short story by Martin Luther King’s sister, Christine. This taught us about his childhood. Next week, we will learn more about the late
Dr. Martin Luther King, and his peaceful movement of civil rights, by reading
several books, including our Reading selection, “Happy Birthday, Dr. King!”

freedom, movement, treatment, kindness, *stupendous

and will finish that up on Tuesday. Next
week, we will review and test over Chapter 6.
Science-We did not get to our study about onions, and
will work with them next week. Science

Please make sure your child picks a topic and answers questions all the
