Happy Friday!

Hello, Parents!  It has been another busy, fun-filled week!  Is it really almost May???
*Just so you know, Timothy is hosting its 2nd Annual Rams Run here next Tuesday, April 30th, at 5:00.  If you are able to help out in anyway, we could use your help!  Here is a link to either bring snacks, help man the course, or just help with athletes.  Thank you!

You have been invited to attend our ….
Famous Missourian Living Museum
When?  Wednesday, May 15th, from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Where?  Timothy Lutheran Ministries: 4-G’s Area
Why?  The 4th grade class has been studying Missouri history and we want to share some of our knowledge with you!
*There is no need to R.S.V.P.  Please just come by at your convenience.  The entire museum will take about 20 minutes to go through and to see all of the exhibits.  Thank you!

*Our 4th Quarter Mission Project is FINISHED!  Time and time again, our families show how GIVING they are!!!  Wow!!  We hoped to collect at least 500 things, and you sent in OVER 600!!  WOW!!!  Mr. Holland will DEFINITELY be involved in our May 10 water gun battle now!

*Preschool + 8th Grade Graduation is Friday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m.  ALL students are highly encouraged to attend, as the band and choir groups are both going to be performing.  Since Timothy is such a family, it will be even more meaningful to have our whole school there to send off our graduates with our prayers and support.

*Be sure to update your calendars for our last day of school which will now be Wednesday, May 22, with a 1:00 dismissal.  Our last day for our home school program has also changed to Tuesday, May 21.

Here is what we have been up to in the classroom:
Religion- We discussed Jesus’ death and resurrection this week, as well as when he appeared to His disciples.
Memory for next week:  April 30-Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10b
May 3-Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations.  I will be exalted in the earth! ~Psalm 46: 10

Reading-This week we continued with Chapters 4 and 5  from “Childhood of Famous Americans:  Harry S. Truman: The Thirty-Third President of the United States.”  We will continue this study for the next few weeks.

Math- This week, we worked with finding factors, deciding whether a number is a prime number or composite number, and finding equivalent fractions.

Missouri History- This week, we finished up learning about the first settlers in Missouri, as well as the Revolutionary War, and the Louisiana Purchase.  We finished up Chapter 3 and reviewed today.  A study guide came home today, and I have also attached on to this newsletter as well!  We will play Jeopardy on Monday, and will test over this material on Wednesday (May 1st).  Here is the link to have some fun this weekend!

We will continue working on our Biography Rugs and book reports next week.  Please urge your kiddo to be reading his or her famous Missourian biography!

P.E.-We stretched, ran, and played outside!

Music- The kiddos practiced beautiful songs about friendship.  They will use some of these when singing at Graduation next month!

Art-This week, we had some Resurrection Art.  We made beautiful “stained glass” crosses with tissue paper and beautiful butterflies with coffee filters.  They are decorating our hallway outside of the jungle!  ;)
