It's the End of the First Quarter! What?! :)

Hello, parents!  It has been a fun and busy week!
*SUNDAY – Pre-K through 8 are singing at our R.D Mize location (425 NW R.D. Mize Road) at both the 8:00 and 9:30 services. Be at church no later than 7:45. The students will meet in the sanctuary. They can wear their Timmy gear or Timmy colors (navy and red). They will sing at the beginning of the 9:30 service and then be done for the morning.

*Can you believe that today is the last day of 1st quarter?  Where has the time gone?  Next week – we have an early release days on Thursday and Friday (10/24 and 10/25) for parent teacher conferences. Unlike previous years, we WILL NOT have specials classes on Thursday morning, so there will be not be home school classes next Thursday, October 24. This will be our plan for the school year on early dismissal days.  Thank you!  I am so excited to meet with each of you and share how your kiddo is doing!  If you have not yet signed up for conferences, here is the link:   https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4dadab2da7f58-1stquarter1

*As you may have already heard from your child, we are no longer having Spanish. Mrs. Romo has some medical issues that require her full attention. Please keep her and her whole family in your prayers. If you know of anyone who might be interested in teaching Spanish for 8 hours/week, please have them contact Mr. Holland at kenh@timothylutheran.com.

*THANK YOU to our drivers and helpers with our School of Economics field trip!  We had so much fun and learned SO much!

*Students raised over $6,000 ($6092.50) through the Walk-a-Thon for the Playground Expansion Fund.  THANK YOU for all of your help and donations!  Praise God!

*Please mark your calendars and spread the word to the veterans in your lives:  Our Veterans Day Program is Monday, November 11th.  More details to come!

Here is what else we have been up to this week:
Religion- We talked about the 10 commandments this week and reviewed the story of Moses and the people of Israel.  We talked about how the commandments apply to our daily lives.

Next week’s Memory:
10/22-
Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in endless praise.

Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

10/25-
Take my voice and let me sing,
Always, only for my King.
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee.

Take my silver and my gold,
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect and use
Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.
