Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello!  It was a beautiful and quick week! We just finished up our feast!  THANK YOU to those that were able to send in food and treats!  We had a great time!

Here is what we have been up to:
Religion-We learned all about David, Goliath, King Saul, and God in His infinite wisdom and power.  We tested over Unit 3.  We prayed for and went “Christmas shopping” on Amazon this week for the gifts for our children in need.  This was a lot of fun!  Thank you so much for your donations!

Memory next week:
12/3-THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT
You shall not murder.  What does this mean?  We should fear and love God so that we do not hurt or harm our neighbor in his body, but help and support him in every physical need.

12/6-THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT
You shall not commit adultery. What does this mean?  We should fear and love God so that we lead a sexually pure and decent life in what we say and do, and husband and wife love and honor each other.

Reading/Social Studies/Writing/Art:  We studied the first Thanksgiving and learned all about the Pilgrims and the Wampanoags.  We completed several writing projects, English lessons, and art lessons pertaining to what we learned.  Be on the lookout for these at home!  We learned so much—Noggins are full!  ;)

Math- Third graders began solving word problems using tables and more than one operation.  Fourth graders are learning double digit multiplication with regrouping.

Spelling Words next week, December 6th:
3rd grade: talk, cross, awful, law, cloth, crawl, chalk, also, raw, salt, wall, lawn, always, often, strawberry, *colossal
4th grade: learn, dirty, worn, sore, thirst, burn, record, cure, board, course, worth, early, return, pure, world, search, worse, thirteen, sport, current, curious, thorough, *colossal

Science-We talked about the parts of a plant and experimented with celery and food dye to see how food travels through a plant.

Pilgrim and Wampanoag fun was had by ALL!

We praised our God for many friends, for family, for food, and for boundless blessings!

We also said "see you later" to our sweet friend Nara today.  She promised to come back to visit soon!  We love you, Nara!  Remember:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
