The Walk-A-Thon was a success!

Hello, 3rd and 4th grade families!

*Midterms came home on Wednesday.  Please go over this report with your child and sign and return the bottom portion.  Thanks!

*The fourth graders’ book reports are due on Wednesday, September 30th!

*Today was the Walk-A-Thon, and we all had SO much fun!  THANK YOU for your prayers and support!  The weather was perfect, and a fun time was had by all!  You can still donate:  https://timothylutheranschool.com/walkathon/

Here is what we have been up to this week:

Religion- This week, we talked about what the church is—not the place, but the PEOPLE of God.  We discussed how we are connected to all believers that have ever lived.  It was such an inspiring conversation!  We also began learning about Martin Luther and his impact on the Christian church as it is today.  We will be studying Reformation for the next few weeks.

Next week’s Memory:

9/29-

Hebrews

James

1 & 2 Peter

1 , 2, & 3 John

Jude

Revelation

10/2-Recite all of the New Testament Books

Language Arts- This week, the 3rd graders learned read a biography all about Roberto Clemente.  This was such a great story, especially for our many baseball lovers that we have in class!  Roberto’s life was such an inspiration and the kids loved one of his quotes:

The 4th graders read a fun fractured fairy tale called, “Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude.”  It was one of those stories that was a blast to read, and really just gets kids on fire for reading!  They loved it!  I also found two other stories written by Kevin O’Malley that I shared with the class today!
