Hi, 3
rd/4
th Grade Parents! Happy Holy week! Can you believe that Easter is already almost
here?! Can you believe it is already April?! Goodness, gracious!
*As our 4th Quarter gets underway, we want to let you know
that YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE! Order now at
inter-state.com/flyerentry/56423NK. The
deadline to order is 05/28/2021. Yearbooks
will either be mailed to you or hand delivered at the start of next school
year.
Here is what we have learned this week:
Religion- This has been such a beautiful week for us,
as we have learned about the events of Holy Week. We discussed Palm Sunday, Jesus in the
temple, Maundy Thursday, the Lord’s Supper, the Garden Gethsemane, Peter Denying
Jesus, and Jesus’ Crucifixion. We read
straight from God’s Word and also watched some wonderful reenacting of these
verses. The students colored a Holy Week
book, which we will finish up on Tuesday.
Today, we discussed Good Friday, and while the conversations we had were
emotional, we know that Jesus did not stay dead for us! He has risen indeed! Alleluia!
“Praise be to the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new
birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead.” ~1 Peter 1:3
The kiddos asked that I share this video with you:
“Watch the Lamb” by Ray Boltz:

Memory for next week:
4/6-Beautiful Savior,
Lord of the nations,
Son of God and Son of Man!
Glory and honor,
Praise, adoration,
Now and forevermore be Thine!
4/9-The 23rd Psalm
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
Language Arts- This week, we had a whole-class
literature study of Roald Dahl’s book, “Esio Trot.” We loved hearing about Mr. Hoppy’s funny
antics, as he tried to win the affections of Mrs. Silver! We had a lot of giggles in here! 4th graders shared their
nonfiction book reports and windsock projects.
Students also received information about upcoming 4th quarter
book reports this week. All students
will be reading a biography and we will be working on our projects in
class! The book report portion of the
book report will be completed at home, and the project, we will be working on
at school. These will be due May 10th. We will need large brown paper bags for this,
if you have any that you would be willing to donate! Thank you!
