Have a GREAT weekend!

 Happy Friday, 3rd/4th Grade Parents.  :)  It has been a great week!

 * Our school’s spring musical is coming up soon on April 30th!  Mark your calendars!  Students have been asked to wear their red “Sent to Serve” t-shirts and black pants or jeans.

 *As our 4th Quarter gets underway, we want to let you know that YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE!  Order now at inter-state.com/flyerentry/56423NK.  The deadline to order is 05/28/2021.  Yearbooks will either be mailed to you or hand delivered at the start of next school year.

 *I have gently reminded students that this quarter, I will not be reminding them about homework that they have not turned in.  Thank you for help with this.

 Here is what we have learned this week:

Religion- This week, we learned about the Great Commission, the Ascension, and discussed God’s plan for our lives as Christian examples.  We are so blessed by Him!  We discussed and learned the 23rd Psalm.

 Memory for next week:

4/13-He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,  they comfort me.

 4/16-You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies;

you anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.

 Language Arts- This week, both grades read selections about animals.  Third graders read, “Dog of the Sea Waves,” which was a story about a boy and a seal.   Fourth graders read the nonfiction selection, “Owen and Mzee,”  which is the beautiful story of a friendship between a tortoise and a hippo.  I showed the class an update on these two with this YouTube video:
