Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi, Parents!  HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  I am so humbled and blessed to serve you and your kiddos here at Timothy.  I count you ALL as my richest blessings!  Thank you for being YOU!  God is SO GOOD!

*THANK YOU for contributing to our Thanksgiving Feast!  We had turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, green bean casserole, rolls with butter, veggies, olives, pie, cookies, brownies, and apple cider!  Our bellies are full, and we had a GREAT time!  (Make sure to check out our pictures!) We have learned SO very much about the Wampanoag and the Pilgrims and this first Harvest Festival.  Next week, we will continue to learn more.  😊

*WORSHIP—Please come and worship with us this week!  We have a special Thanksgiving service at the R.D. Mize site (425 NW R.D. Mize Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015) at 5:30 tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.

*FIELD TRIP NOTICE-ALL 4th GRADE STUDENTS--On Friday, December 16th, we will be headed to see “The Best Little Christmas Pageant Ever” at the Theatre for Young America at Union Station in Kansas City.  All tickets are $5.50.  I have reserved 28 tickets.  I have paid for this in full, so when you can, please send in money or checks to me.  I have the link for the sign-up.  Please check if your student is coming, and if you are able to come and drive.  Thank you!

MEMORY for Next Week:

11/29-THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT

Honor your father and your mother.  What does this mean?  We should fear and love God so that we do not despise or anger our parents and other authorities,  but honor them, serve and obey them, love and cherish them.

12/2-THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT

You shall not murder.  What does this mean?  We should fear and love God so that we do not hurt or harm our neighbor in his body, but help and support him in every physical need.

SPELLING WORDS for Friday, December 2nd:

Plymouth, Thanksgiving, Pilgrims, compact, Mayflower, pumpkin, barter, America, holiday, settlement, Challenge Word: *Wampanoag

SCIENCE-This week, we experimented with celery, water, and food coloring.  We learned how water travels through the roots to the stem and leaves of a plant so that water is transferred to every part.  Please make sure you take a look at our pictures to see our scientists in action!
